Welcome to “Care Begins With Me,” a groundbreaking, year-long initiative designed to empower and transform African American female pastors and leaders in Sacramento, CA. This peer mentorship cohort bridges the generational gap by pairing seasoned leaders with emerging talents in traditional and marketplace ministry. Our mission is to enhance and advance leadership skills and collectively commit to fortifying current leaders while nurturing the next generation of 21st-century Black female leaders.

Participants of “Care Begins With Me” will embark on a multifaceted personal, pastoral, and professional development journey. This dynamic cohort offers community, a safe space, prayer, interactive sessions, video recordings, journaling, presentations, social media guidance, mentoring, guest speakers, retreats, and monthly Sister Sessions. Our initiative fosters a holistic approach to leadership, celebrating creativity and personal growth. With a focus on authentic relationships and creating safe spaces for exploring pastoral and leadership challenges, this cohort is committed to nurturing spiritual disciplines and establishing a robust network of allies.
